‘Oldest Young Man’ follows 2020 album ‘Warriors’
Oldest Young Man will be 2Baba’s first studio album since Warriors, which arrived in 2020 as his eighth studio project.
The long gap has made the new release particularly significant for fans who have followed his music over the years.
Since rising to prominence, 2Baba has remained one of the influential figures in Nigerian Afropop, earning recognition for his songwriting, vocals and contributions to the country’s music industry.
2Baba’s journey from Plantashun Boiz to Afropop legend
2Baba began gaining attention in the 1990s, when he composed jingles before co-founding the music group Plantashun Boiz in 1996 alongside Blackface and Faze.
He later established a successful solo career and became one of the pioneers of modern Nigerian Afropop.
His albums include Face 2 Face (2004), Grass 2 Grace (2006), The Unstoppable (2009), The Unstoppable International Edition (2010), Away and Beyond (2012), The Ascension, Rewind, Select, Update (2015) and Warriors(2020).
With Oldest Young Man scheduled for November 27, the singer is preparing to add another project to his long-running musical catalogue.
