MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced that BBNaija season 11 will premiere on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with organisers unveiling the biggest prize package in the history of the popular reality television show.
The announcement was made during a press conference on Wednesday, where MultiChoice revealed that the winner of this year’s edition will take home a N160 million grand prize.
The reward includes N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, surpassing every previous prize offered since the show debuted in 2006.
Biggest Prize in BBNaija History
Speaking at the press briefing, Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa at MultiChoice, said the new season is designed to raise the bar for entertainment across the continent.
“Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined African entertainment by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities, and moments that resonate with millions of viewers,” she said.
She added, “Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale.”
The launch show is scheduled to air at 7:00 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family.
Fans will also be able to follow the 24-hour live broadcast on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49, while streaming will be available via the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream platforms.
Auditions and What to Expect
Ahead of the premiere, organisers conducted physical auditions for BBNaija season 11 between May 22 and May 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
Participation was free, with applicants required to be 21 years or older and present a valid means of identification.
The upcoming edition follows the success of the previous season, where Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, emerged winner after defeating 28 other housemates in the finale held on October 5, 2025.
