Nollywood Actress Adunni Ade Loses Mother After Prolonged Illness

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother after a prolonged illness, leaving the actress and her family in mourning.

Ade shared the sad news on Monday, October 19, 2026, through an emotional post on her official Instagram page. According to the actress, her mother died on Sunday, October 18.

In her tribute, the actress expressed her grief and accepted the loss as the will of Almighty Allah.

“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.

Adunni Ade Prays for Late Mother’s Soul

Following the announcement, Ade offered prayers for her late mother, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in paradise.

She also prayed for the strength to cope with the painful loss, asking for patience and comfort for herself and other family members.

“Ya Allah, forgive her shortcomings, have mercy upon her, make her grave spacious and filled with light, and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus. Grant us sabr and strength as we navigate this painful loss. Ameen,” the actress wrote.

Ade further expressed her love for her mother and prayed for them to reunite in the hereafter.

“Mum, I love you. May Allah grant you eternal peace and reunite us in Jannah. Ameen,” she added.

The actress also disclosed that the family would announce details of the funeral arrangements at a later date.
