The actor’s death came two years after he lost his 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.
Kanayo O. Kanayo Pays Tribute to Francis Duru
Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo remembered Duru in a tribute shared on Instagram. He praised the late actor’s versatility and described him as one of Nigeria’s most prolific performers.
In his message, Kanayo wrote, “A consummate actor has left the stage.”
He also described Duru as one of the most flexible and prolific performers Nigeria had produced. He ended his tribute by wishing his colleague eternal rest.
Kate Henshaw, Mercy Johnson React
Actress Kate Henshaw also expressed sadness over Duru’s death. Reflecting on the uncertainty of life, she prayed for his soul to rest in peace and asked God to comfort his family.
Meanwhile, Mercy Johnson-Okojie said she was struggling to find words to describe the loss.
“Too tired and speechless about this loss,” she wrote in her tribute.
