NAQS releases recruitment shortlist, sets CBT for August 20
The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released the shortlist for its ongoing recruitment exercise and asked applicants to check the status of their applications on the official recruitment portal.
The agency made this known in a notice signed by its Director of Human Resources, ACG Issaka Ahmed, and published on its X handle on Wednesday.
According to NAQS, applicants can check their recruitment status using their registered details on the official portal, recruitment.naqs.gov.ng.
NAQS recruitment CBT begins August 20
Applicants whose status shows that they have progressed to the next stage are required to prepare for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
NAQS said the CBT will be conducted online through the recruitment portal from Thursday, August 20, 2026.
The agency added that applicants would receive further information about the specific CBT schedule through their registered email addresses.

NAQS also advised applicants to remain vigilant and rely only on official information from the agency to avoid falling victim to false recruitment updates.
NAQS explains shortlist delay
The release of the shortlist follows an earlier postponement by NAQS. The recruitment shortlist was initially scheduled to be released on August 13.
The agency had explained that the delay was necessary to ensure a thorough, transparent and accurate recruitment process.
The NAQS recruitment exercise opened on July 28 and closed on August 10. According to the agency, it attracted 606,928 attempted applications, while 407,659 applications were successfully submitted.
Applicants who have been shortlisted are advised to check the official recruitment portal and their registered email addresses for information about the next stage of the selection process.
