According to Tinubu, the outcome of the election showed that the governor continued to enjoy significant support among the electorate.
He wished Adeleke success as he prepares to begin another four-year term in office.
Tinubu, however, said the governor’s responsibility after the election was to govern for all residents of Osun State, irrespective of how they voted.
He urged Adeleke to use the opportunity provided by his renewed mandate to promote unity, stability and economic growth.
President urges Adeleke to unite Osun
Tinubu stressed the importance of reconciliation following the election.
The President said Adeleke should reach out to residents across political divides and work toward building a more united state.
He said the governor should focus his attention on issues capable of improving the lives of Osun residents, including social and economic development.
The call comes after a closely contested governorship election in which Adeleke defeated his major challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner after the completion of the collation of results from the state’s 30 local government areas.

Tinubu said their participation contributed to the country’s democratic development and provided voters with alternatives during the election.
He noted that the participation of political parties and candidates remained an important part of strengthening Nigeria’s democratic system.
The President said the eventual outcome should be respected as an expression of the will of the electorate.

Tinubu’s appeal for unity also places emphasis on the need for the governor to move beyond the campaign period and work with residents and political stakeholders regardless of their affiliations.
With the election concluded, attention is expected to shift toward governance and the implementation of policies during Adeleke’s new term.
