Jennifer Lopez has denied reports of a disagreement with film director Robert Zemeckis over their upcoming Netflix thriller, The Last Mrs. Parrish.
Netflix, Lopez and Zemeckis have also rejected claims that tensions have affected the film’s production.
In a joint statement to TMZ, they described the reports as false. They also insisted that everyone involved in the project was working together.
“As we have said to Page Six, this reporting is categorically false. Any suggestion that the filmmakers are not working in unison is without merit,” the statement read.
Report Claims Jennifer Lopez Wanted More Control
The denial followed a report by Page Six alleging that Lopez wanted greater control over the film’s editing process.
The publication cited unnamed sources who claimed that the actress and Zemeckis had different ideas about the film’s direction.
The report also suggested that Lopez became concerned after test screenings. According to one source, she had been spending more time in the editing room.
The claims drew comparisons with the reported dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during the production of It Ends With Us.
Netflix Disputes Claims About Test Screenings
Netflix has challenged the account published by Page Six.
Speaking to TMZ, the streaming platform said the film performed well during test screenings, particularly among fans.
Other sources who spoke to TMZ also described Lopez and Zemeckis as good collaborators. They said both were enjoying the post-production process.

Their comments directly contradict claims that the pair were struggling to agree on the film’s final direction.
Jennifer Lopez Also Serves as Producer
Lopez has a major role in The Last Mrs. Parrish. She serves as both a producer and one of the film’s lead actors.
This gives her responsibilities beyond her performance on screen.
The latest report comes after her 2026 romantic comedy, Office Romance, topped Netflix’s global charts following its release.
For now, Lopez, Zemeckis and Netflix have maintained that there is no disagreement behind the scenes. They insist that the team remains united as work continues on the upcoming thriller.
