The collaboration will support the London and Lagos premieres of Akindele’s new movie, The Four. It will also bring together content creators, celebrities and film lovers to celebrate Nigerian entertainment and culture.

Facebook highlights the power of Nigerian creators
Meta’s Head of Communications for Sub-Saharan Africa, Oluwasola Obagbemi, said the partnership reflects Facebook’s role in connecting people through shared interests and creative content.
According to Obagbemi, the collaboration with Akindele will demonstrate how filmmakers and digital creators can use the platform to engage audiences beyond their immediate communities.
He explained that Facebook provides creators with opportunities to reach international audiences, build relationships with fans and earn money from original content.
Obagbemi added that the partnership surrounding The Four premieres would celebrate creators shaping culture while encouraging more people to share original and engaging content on the platform.

Partnership to spotlight Nigerian creators at home and abroad
Beyond the film premieres, the collaboration will give Nigerian content creators, including those living in the diaspora, an opportunity to showcase their work.
