The Nigerian gospel film industry is mourning the death of Omooba Oluwasegun Oyeyemi, a beloved actor best known for portraying Flora’s husband in the popular Mount Zion drama series Abattoir.

His death comes barely a year after the passing of actress Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe, who played Flora in Abattoir.

The death of Omooba Oluwasegun Oyeyemi has renewed conversations about the series of tragedies that have affected members of the Abattoir cast in recent years.
Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe died on February 4, 2025, following complications from a road accident that occurred on December 26, 2024, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The devastating crash also claimed the life of one of her two-year-old twin daughters.
