Nigerian singer Portable has questioned social media activist VeryDarkMan over Burna Boy’s reported ₦200 million donation for a school project. He wants the activist to explain how the money was spent.
Portable raised the issue in a video shared online. He questioned some of the artwork reportedly associated with the project. In particular, he asked why VeryDarkMan painted footballer Adebayo instead of Burna Boy, who reportedly provided the funds.
“Burna Boy give you money, wetin you use am do? NGO money, where the money dey?” Portable asked.
Furthermore, the singer questioned why VeryDarkMan included his own portrait in the artwork. He argued that the project was reportedly funded by Burna Boy, not the activist himself.

Portable also criticised the activist over the purpose of the donation. He alleged that VeryDarkMan was acting in his personal interest rather than focusing on the school project.
“You are fighting for your pocket. Burna Boy give you N200 million plus, make you build school, you go build Ashewo house,” Portable said.
Portable Demands Answers Over Burna Boy’s Donation
Portable’s comments have drawn attention to the reported ₦200 million donation and the project it was intended to support.
However, his statements remain allegations. They do not independently establish that the funds were misused. Further details about the project, its expenditure and any response from VeryDarkMan would help clarify the matter.
The controversy adds to the public discussion surrounding celebrity donations, charitable projects and the need for transparency when funds are raised or provided for community development.
