Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has set social media buzzing after hinting at a new album in a brief but powerful post that has left fans and industry watchers speculating about his next move in music.
The Grammy-winning artist took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night with a simple yet striking message: “Album🦅”, a post that immediately triggered conversations across fan communities and entertainment platforms about a possible upcoming project.
While Wizkid did not share further details about the project, reports circulating within industry circles suggest that a pre-release listening party may be planned for June 25 in Paris. The development has fueled expectations that a formal rollout could be imminent.
If released, the upcoming project would mark his return to a full studio album following his 2024 body of work, Morayo, which was widely interpreted as a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.
Since his breakout in 2011 with Superstar, Wizkid has consistently evolved into one of Africa’s most globally influential music exports, delivering critically acclaimed projects such as Ayo (2014), Sounds From the Other Side (2017), Made in Lagos (2020), and More Love, Less Ego (2022).
His 2020 album Made in Lagos remains one of his most commercially successful works, featuring collaborations with global and African stars including Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri, helping cement his status as a leading figure in the global Afrobeats movement.
In addition to his solo catalog, Wizkid has continued to expand his influence through collaborations. In early 2026, he was reportedly linked to a joint EP titled Real with fellow Afrobeats star Asake, further highlighting his continued presence in shaping the genre’s evolving sound.

The artist also earned global recognition in 2021 when he won a Grammy Award for his contribution to Beyoncé’s Beyoncé hit Brown Skin Girl, solidifying his crossover impact beyond African music markets.
As anticipation builds, fans are now watching closely for official confirmation, tracklist reveals, or rollout announcements that could signal the next major chapter in Wizkid’s already storied career.
