Paris Jackson Seeks $600 Million From Michael Jackson’s Estate Over Inheritance Dispute
Paris Jackson, daughter of late music legend Michael Jackson, has asked a US court to order the release of $600 million from her father’s estate, accusing its longtime executor of withholding funds meant for her and her two brothers.
In a petition filed on October 29, 2026, at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Paris accused estate executor John Brancaof controlling how much money the siblings receive and when they receive it.
She argued that despite the estate generating billions of dollars over the years and holding hundreds of millions in cash, the Michael Jackson Family Trust, established to benefit the singer’s children, remains unfunded.
Paris Jackson Questions Management of Her Father’s Estate
According to the court filing, Michael Jackson’s will provided for his children to begin receiving income from their respective trusts when they turned 21.
However, Paris alleged that she and her brothers, Prince Jackson, 29, and Bigi Jackson, 24, have instead received smaller payments determined by Branca.
She also claimed that concerns she raised about the estate’s management last year were met with legal action, public criticism and a reduction in the money provided to the siblings.
Among the issues she reportedly questioned were payments she described as non-contractual gifts to colleagues.
Estate Disputes Allegations
The petition stated that Michael Jackson intended for each of his children to receive one-third of the principal in their respective trusts at age 30.
They were also expected to receive half of the remaining balance at 35 and the full balance at 40.
Paris argued that the estate had enough resources to make the proposed distribution while still meeting its financial obligations.
She cited major transactions involving the estate, including the sale of its interest in EMI Music Publishing, Neverland Ranch and a deal with Sony concerning Michael Jackson’s music catalogue and other intellectual property.
According to the filing, the estate generated more than $2.5 billion in gross earnings through December 2024. It also reportedly held approximately $850 million in cash and cash equivalents at the time.
However, a spokesperson for Michael Jackson’s estate rejected her claims.

The spokesperson said the family trust and charitable foundation could not be fully funded until outstanding legal matters, particularly an ongoing dispute with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), had been resolved.
The representative also described the allegation that Branca withheld or reduced payments as false, stating that more than $200 million had already been distributed to or spent for the benefit of Paris and the other beneficiaries.
Paris Jackson Asks Court to Order $600 Million Transfer
Paris Jackson is asking the court to direct the transfer of $600 million into the family trust or determine an appropriate amount that can be distributed.
She is also seeking reimbursement for her legal expenses.
The matter is scheduled for a court hearing in December 2026. The court’s eventual decision could determine the next steps in the dispute over the management and distribution of Michael Jackson’s estate.
