A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the assault and battery lawsuit involving Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck until October 13 and 14, 2026, following a request by the defence team for additional time to prepare its case.
The lawsuit was filed by musician Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, of assaulting him during a public event held on December 16, 2024.
According to court filings, Kraziecent alleged that he was peacefully taking photographs and recording videos at the event when the incident occurred. He claimed the alleged confrontation led to physical injuries, emotional distress, and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
During the resumed hearing on Tuesday, counsel to the claimant, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that his client was present and prepared to proceed with the case.
However, defence counsel Damilare Adeojo requested an adjournment, stating that more time was needed to adequately prepare the defence.
The application was opposed by the claimant’s legal team. Ojembe argued that the matter had already suffered several delays and urged the court to award a cost of N500,000 against the defence for seeking another postponement.
The defence rejected the request for sanctions, maintaining that additional preparation time was necessary to ensure a fair presentation of its case.
After considering submissions from both parties, Justice Adeyemi Ajayi granted the application for adjournment and fixed October 13 and 14, 2026, for the continuation of proceedings.
The case has experienced delays in the past. A previous hearing scheduled for May was postponed due to the absence of the defendant’s legal representative, forcing the court to set a new date.
The ongoing lawsuit is among several legal matters that have brought Odumodublvck into public focus in recent years.
However, no final judicial decision has been reached in any of the proceedings, and each case remains independent within the legal system.

Kraziecent is seeking compensation for the alleged assault, reimbursement of medical expenses, payment for the damaged phone, and a public apology.
When the matter returns to court in October, the judge is expected to commence substantive hearing of the claims and evidence presented by both parties as the case moves closer to determination.
