FRSC opens 2026 recruitment exercise on Friday, July 3, with the Federal Road Safety Corps inviting qualified Nigerians to submit applications for various positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.
According to an official recruitment notice dated June 24, applications will be accepted online for four weeks through the corps’ recruitment portal.
The notice was signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.
The corps reiterated that the recruitment process is completely free and urged applicants to avoid anyone demanding payment.
“Application is free and attracts no cost,” the notice stated.
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the official FRSC recruitment portal. The agency also noted that shortlisted applicants must present printed copies of their completed application forms during the screening exercise.
“Applications must be submitted online within four (4) weeks with effect from Friday, 3rd July, 2026,” the notice added.
Vacancies Available
The recruitment exercise covers three major categories, offering opportunities for graduates, diploma holders, skilled workers and drivers.
Under the Officer Cadre, the corps is recruiting Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders.
Eligible applicants include medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, engineers and holders of B.Sc., BA or HND qualifications, depending on the position being applied for. Candidates in this category are generally expected to be between 18 and 35 years old.
For the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, applications are open to candidates with National Diploma (ND/OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife qualifications and Community Health Extension Worker certificates. Applicants for these positions must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is designed for candidates with at least three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics.
The corps also encouraged artisans and skilled workers, including mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors, computer operators, motorcycle riders and drivers, to apply under this category, provided they possess the necessary trade qualifications and licences.
Applicants seeking driver or rider positions must hold the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence. In addition, articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers are required to be between 26 and 40 years old.
General Eligibility Requirements
As FRSC opens 2026 recruitment, the agency outlined several conditions that every applicant must meet before submitting an application.
According to the notice, applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate, medically fit and single. They must also possess the educational qualifications and professional certifications required for the position they intend to apply for.
The corps further stated that male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.
Applicants were also advised to ensure that every academic qualification and professional certificate is declared during the recruitment process.
“Ensure that all certificates and qualifications are declared and presented at the point of recruitment, as undeclared qualifications will not be accepted for future career progression in the Corps,” the notice stated.
The FRSC added that applicants must be persons of good character, free from financial indebtedness and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
It also directed candidates not to have tattoos on any part of their bodies and advised them to use their personal email addresses and telephone numbers when completing their applications.
Pregnant women were advised not to participate in the recruitment exercise.

FRSC Warns Against Recruitment Fraud
The corps once again warned Nigerians to be cautious of fraudsters who may attempt to exploit job seekers during the exercise.
“This recruitment is absolutely free. Interested applicants should beware of fraudsters,” the notice stated.
