The long-running rivalry between Nigerian hip-hop stars Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck has moved from music to the courtroom after Blaqbonez filed a ₦2 billion Defamation Suit Against Odumodublvck over alleged defamatory statements made on social media.
Court documents dated July 7, 2026, show that Blaqbonez is seeking ₦2 billion in general damages, alongside aggravated damages, claiming that Odumodublvck carried out a sustained campaign of defamation, harassment, intimidation, and threats.
The rapper is also asking the court to compel Odumodublvck to delete the disputed posts, issue a public apology, and refrain from making further statements that could damage his reputation.
The lawsuit follows a series of social media posts in which Odumodublvck allegedly described Blaqbonez as a “sexual abuser” and made other serious allegations against him.
Blaqbonez has denied the claims, insisting they are false, malicious, and have negatively affected both his personal image and professional career.
At the time of filing this report, Odumodublvck had not publicly responded to the legal action, while the matter remains before the court.
How the rivalry escalated
Although their relationship is now at its lowest point, Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck were once collaborators who worked together on songs including Tesla Boy, Dollerz, and Technician. Their partnership eventually gave way to one of Nigeria’s most talked-about rap feuds.
The tension reportedly began in early 2025 after Odumodublvck declared that no rap project could rival his 2023 tape Eziokwu.
While he did not mention any artist by name, many fans interpreted the remark as a subtle dig at Blaqbonez, whose album Emeka Must Shine had also enjoyed commercial success.
Blaqbonez later appeared to respond through a social media post referencing his song Consistency, further fueling speculation that the comments were directed at him.
What initially seemed like competitive exchanges between two successful rappers soon evolved into a full-blown public rivalry, with both artists taking lyrical shots at each other through their music.
Odumodublvck later released tracks such as 2:02 PM IN LONDON, while Blaqbonez answered with ACL, a record from his No Excuses album that many listeners viewed as a direct diss track.
Music feud takes legal turn
The conflict intensified in 2026 after reports claimed that the instrumental used for ACL had not been properly cleared before its release.
According to reports, Odumodublvck’s team later secured the rights to the beat from the producer, a development that reportedly affected the song’s availability on streaming platforms and altered the control of its royalties.
Following the development, Odumodublvck reacted online, suggesting that his camp had successfully taken control of the situation.

However, the rapper has maintained that the disagreement extends beyond music. He previously stated that the dispute stemmed from a personal matter involving someone close to him who allegedly experienced online harassment, threats, and personal attacks.
According to him, efforts to resolve the issue privately were unsuccessful, leading to the public fallout.
Blaqbonez also revisited the rivalry by releasing a new version of ACL on the deluxe edition of No Excuses. The updated track features a different beat and a fresh verse that fans quickly interpreted as another response to Odumodublvck.
