Doris Ogala Remanded at Ikoyi Correctional Facility Pending Bail Hearing
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, who is also the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for Abia State, has reportedly been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility in Lagos pending the scheduling of her bail hearing.
The development was disclosed by comedian Deeone on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. According to the report, Ogala will remain in custody until her bail hearing is scheduled.
Doris Ogala’s legal dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor
The actress’s legal troubles stem from a dispute with her former partner, Pastor Chris Okafor, who reportedly took her to court over allegations of cyberbullying, harassment, extortion and spreading false information.
The disagreement reportedly escalated after Ogala criticised the clergyman on social media following his announcement that he intended to marry another woman.
The allegations form part of an ongoing legal dispute. They should not be treated as proven facts unless established by a court.
Actress alleges political motive behind detention
Before her remand, Doris Ogala shared a video from the courtroom and alleged that her detention was politically motivated.

She claimed the development was part of a plot to frustrate her ambition to contest the 2027 Abia State governorship election.
However, the report did not provide independent evidence supporting her allegation of political interference.
The case has attracted attention because of the actress’s public dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor and her planned entry into the 2027 governorship race.
Further details about the bail hearing and the court’s decision were not provided in the report.
