Controversial entertainer DJ Chicken has finally broken his silence after being released from prison following his arrest over allegations of threatening to kill Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, if his father secures victory in the 2027 presidential election.
The disc jockey, who recently regained his freedom after spending time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, shared an emotional video expressing gratitude for his release and reflecting on the lessons he learned while in custody.
DJ Chicken expresses gratitude after regaining freedom
Speaking in the viral video circulating on social media, DJ Chicken thanked the Nigerian government, Seyi Tinubu, and President Bola Tinubu, saying his time in prison changed his perspective on life and made him appreciate freedom more than ever.
According to him, being behind bars helped him realise that many people take their freedom for granted until it is taken away.
“I’m back oo, freedom at last. God bless our government, God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, God bless our president. I love you guys.”
The entertainer also admitted that adjusting to life in prison was difficult, revealing that even the meals served in custody were a challenge for him.

Prison experience changed my perspective says DJ Chicken
Recalling his days in custody, DJ Chicken described how emotional he became whenever food was served, noting that he often cried and prayed to God while in prison.
“It’s not easy, my fans. To be a man is not a day job. When they brought food for me in the prison, I used to cry to God. Bread and beans is even better.
They will offer you bread with Coke, things that I don’t eat. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good.”

He went on to encourage Nigerians to appreciate the privilege of living freely, stressing that only those who have experienced confinement can truly understand the value of freedom.
