Two sets of identical twins have celebrated a double wedding in Akwa Ibom State, bringing together twin sisters from Uyo and twin brothers from Abia State.
The brides, Roselyn Bernard and Joycelyn Bernard, are from Nung Efa community in Obio Offot, Uyo, while the grooms, Victor Obasi and Vincent Obasi, hail from Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.
According to reports, Joycelyn married Victor, while her identical twin sister, Roselyn, married Vincent.

The couples held their traditional wedding on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at St Mary’s Primary School in Obio Offot, Uyo. Family members, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the unions.

The ceremony attracted attention because of the striking resemblance between the siblings. The sisters reportedly share similar facial features, height, complexion and smiles, while the brothers also have closely matching physical appearances.
Twin-to-Twin Weddings Continue to Attract Attention
The wedding adds to the growing number of twin-to-twin marriages that have attracted public interest in Nigeria.
In June 2026, twin brothers Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye reportedly married twin sisters Taiwo and Kehinde Adediran in a joint ceremony in Ibadan, Oyo State. That wedding also drew attention because both sets of twins shared matching first names.
However, details about how the Akwa Ibom brides met the Abia brothers or how their relationships began have not been made public in the reports available.
The double wedding has since attracted interest because of the unusual union between the two pairs of identical twins.
