Burna Boy and Davido Shake Hands at Zlatan’s Bachelor Party Amid Feud Speculation
Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Davido have sparked fresh speculation about a possible reconciliation after they were spotted shaking hands at Zlatan Ibile’s bachelor party in Lagos.
Videos of the encounter, which reportedly took place at a Lagos nightclub on Thursday night, October 22, 2026, have circulated widely on social media. Fans have interpreted the moment as a possible sign that the two singers could be putting their long-running differences behind them.
However, neither Burna Boy nor Davido has publicly confirmed a reconciliation or commented on the meeting.
Rumours Emerge After Singers Meet at Zlatan’s Party
The encounter took place during the bachelor party of Zlatan Ibile, who was preparing to marry his longtime partner, Davita Lamai.
Unconfirmed reports circulating online also claimed that Burna Boy and Davido withdrew to an upstairs room for a private conversation while members of their respective entourages waited outside. However, the claim has not been independently verified.
Zlatan maintains musical connections with both artists. He featured on Davido’s song Osanle in 2018 and collaborated with Burna Boy on Killin Dem in 2019. The latter track won Best Collaboration at The Headies.
How Burna Boy and Davido’s Relationship Deteriorated
Before their public disagreements attracted attention, Burna Boy and Davido had worked together earlier in their careers.
Davido appeared on Trumpet, a track from Burna Boy’s debut project, Best of Burn Series Vol. 1. Burna Boy also appeared in the music video for Davido’s breakout hit Dami Duro.
Their relationship reportedly became strained around 2020, when social media exchanges involving Burna Boy were interpreted by fans as indirect shots at Davido.
That same year, Davido’s song FEM included the line, “Tell Odogwu say we like to party,” which many listeners interpreted as a response to Burna Boy. However, Davido later told media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that the two were like brothers and that the line was an invitation for Burna Boy to contact him.
Past Tensions Reignited in Subsequent Years
In December 2020, both artists were reportedly in Ghana for the festive season when reports emerged of a clash at a nightclub. According to the original report, security personnel prevented the situation from escalating, although no footage confirming a physical fight emerged.
In 2021, Burna Boy suggested that tensions between them had eased, saying he was no longer angry and that they had eventually worked things out.

However, the apparent truce did not end the public speculation surrounding their relationship. In February 2024, another social media exchange involving Burna Boy and a fan of Davido reignited discussion about the dispute after the singer made a derogatory remark about Davido.
Fans Hope for Reconciliation
The latest handshake has renewed hopes among fans that the two Afrobeats stars may be ready to move beyond their differences. Still, a handshake alone does not confirm that their reported feud has ended.
Davido had returned to Nigeria earlier in the week and shared bundles of dollar bills on Instagram, saying he was ready for his friend’s wedding.
Zlatan’s wedding to Davita Lamai was scheduled for October 24, 2026, under the theme #DTTheUnion.
For now, fans will have to wait for a direct statement from either artist before drawing conclusions about the state of their relationship.
