As part of a creative campaign focused on the realities of commuting in Nigeria’s commercial capital, global mobility platform inDrive has appointed media personality and content creator KieKie as its new Chief Wahala Officer.
The announcement follows a nationwide campaign that generated significant interest, attracting more than 450 applications from Nigerians who wanted to take on the unique role.
Through the initiative, inDrive aims to shine a light on the everyday transportation struggles faced by people living and working in Lagos, including heavy traffic, unreliable transport services, delivery delays and the general difficulties associated with moving around the city.

KieKie will lead the #inDriveCWO campaign, encouraging commuters to share their personal experiences while drawing greater public attention to the realities of daily transportation in Lagos.
KieKie to Lead Conversations on Everyday Commuter Challenges
Speaking on the appointment, inDrive Nigeria Country Manager Timothy Oladimeji said KieKie was selected because of her ability to connect with audiences through authentic and relatable storytelling.
According to him, her personality aligns with the company’s goal of engaging users through familiar voices that reflect their everyday experiences.
“KieKie is a perfect fit for this role because she represents exactly what this campaign is about: authenticity, humour and relatability. She has a natural ability to connect with people’s everyday experiences and turn them into conversations that everyone understands. In a city like Lagos, where mobility comes with its own daily wahala, we needed someone who can reflect that reality in a way that is both entertaining and truthful, and KieKie does that effortlessly,” Oladimeji said.
He added that KieKie’s participation will help increase awareness of commuter experiences while encouraging conversations, participation and shared understanding among users of the platform.
Reacting to her appointment as Chief Wahala Officer, KieKie described the role as an exciting opportunity to spotlight the mobility challenges many Lagos residents face every day.

She said she hopes the campaign will inspire more people to speak about their commuting experiences while contributing ideas that can help improve movement across the city.
“I am finally happy to announce that I am the Chief Wahala Officer. My dear Lagosians, any delivery or ride-hailing wahala you may be facing is now in the past. Don’t worry, I am on duty, which means everything will go back to normal,” she said.
inDrive Expands Focus on Fair Mobility Solutions
According to the company, the campaign is intended to provide commuters with a platform to share their experiences while highlighting the need for practical solutions that improve urban mobility in Lagos.
inDrive said the initiative aligns with its broader mission of supporting fair transportation choices and creating better commuting experiences for users.
The global mobility and delivery platform has recorded more than 400 million app downloads worldwide and has remained the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing application for four consecutive years.
