Nigerian-American actress and television personality Osas Ighodaro has added another international project to her growing portfolio after landing a lead role in the upcoming Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama series, Imported Bahu.
The highly anticipated production was officially unveiled by executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja, who announced the project through her social media platforms.
The series features Osas Ighodaro alongside popular Bollywood actor and model Rajniesh Duggall in a story that combines romance, family drama, cultural differences, and unexpected twists.
According to details released by the producers, Imported Bahu follows the journey of Bahu Mehra, the son of a wealthy Indian family who returns home after spending time abroad.
His relatives eagerly anticipate his arrival and expect him to bring back luxury gifts from overseas. Instead, he returns with Zara Ogun, a confident Nigerian businesswoman portrayed by Osas Ighodaro.
In the series, Zara Ogun is introduced as the successful chief executive officer of Oguns Fashion, a multimillion-dollar fashion company.
Despite her achievements and strong personality, she faces resistance and skepticism from members of Bahu’s family, setting the stage for emotional conflicts and cultural tensions.
Announcing the project, executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja described Imported Bahu as a significant milestone for her production company, Forever 7 Entertainment.

“For months, we’ve been keeping a secret. Today, we’re finally sharing it. Introducing Imported Bahu — Forever 7 Entertainment’s first vertical micro-drama series. A story of love, family, secrets, and one Imported Bahu who turns everything upside down,” she said.
The series represents another step in the growing collaboration between Nigeria’s Nollywood industry and India’s Bollywood film sector.
Ahuja has previously championed similar partnerships through productions such as Namaste Wahala and Postcards, both of which attracted audiences across different regions.
Industry observers believe the casting of Osas Ighodaro will further increase interest in the project. Over the years, she has built a reputation as one of Nollywood’s most versatile performers, earning recognition for her work in film, television, and entertainment hosting.
