South African singer Tyla has confirmed that Lagos will host one of the biggest concerts on her A*POP world tour, with the show scheduled for December 22, 2026.
The performance forms part of her first headline global tour, which will see the Grammy-winning star perform across Europe, North America and Africa.
Although organisers have yet to reveal the venue for the Lagos event, excitement is already building among fans eager to see the chart-topping artist perform live.
The A*POP world tour was unveiled shortly after the release of Tyla’s sophomore album, APOP*, which arrived on July 24. Organised by Live Nation, the tour spans 34 dates and represents the singer’s most ambitious concert schedule since her rise to international fame.
Lagos Opens the African Leg of the Tour
The global tour is expected to begin in Paris on October 12 before moving through several European cities, including London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo, Glasgow, Manchester and Copenhagen.
Following the European shows, Tyla will head to North America, where she is scheduled to perform in cities such as Sacramento, San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago, Boston, New York, Houston, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
After completing the European and North American dates, the singer will arrive in Lagos for the first African performance on the A*POP world tour.
The African leg will then continue with concerts in Cape Town on January 4, 2027, before concluding in Johannesburg on January 9.
Fans hoping to attend the Lagos concert will be able to purchase artist presale tickets from July 29, while general ticket sales are expected to begin on July 31 at 10 a.m. local time through Tyla’s official ticketing platforms.
Tyla Continues Her Global Rise
Born Tyla Laura Seethal in Johannesburg, the singer gained worldwide recognition in 2023 after the success of her hit single Water.
The song became an international sensation, helping introduce amapiano-inspired sounds to a wider global audience and establishing her as one of Africa’s fastest-rising music stars.
Her achievements have continued to grow since then. Tyla made history by becoming the first recipient of the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance in 2024 and added a second Grammy to her collection the following year.
She also received the Impact Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event in 2025 in recognition of her contribution to promoting African music on the global stage.
The newly released album APOP* features 14 tracks, including Chanel, Is It Love and She Did It Again, a collaboration with Swedish singer Zara Larsson.
