Less than 24 hours after regaining his freedom, DJ Chicken has attracted attention on social media by changing his Instagram profile picture to that of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The move comes shortly after the entertainer was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, where he had been held for 11 days over allegations of making threats against Seyi Tinubu.

In addition to updating his profile picture, DJ Chicken shared several Instagram Stories featuring Seyi Tinubu. One of the posts showed Seyi’s photograph with the caption, “Hmm dddy,” while another featured videos of him dancing with his wife at a public event.

DJ Chicken Returns to Social Media After Release
The social media activity follows DJ Chicken’s public expression of gratitude after leaving custody. His latest posts have generated conversations online, with many users interpreting the profile photo change as a sign of appreciation or an attempt to move on from the controversy that led to his arrest.
The content creator was released on Tuesday after spending nearly two weeks in detention.
His legal troubles began after authorities accused him of making threatening remarks in a video shared on his social media platforms.
The now-deleted clip, spoken in Yorùbá, reportedly referenced Seyi Tinubu and the possibility of President Bola Tinubu seeking re-election in 2027.
DJ Chicken was subsequently arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court on July 10, where he was remanded to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending further proceedings.
Sister’s Emotional Plea Drew Public Attention
Before his release, DJ Chicken’s elder sister made an emotional appeal to influencer Tunde Perry and members of the public, asking for support to secure her brother’s freedom.
In her plea, she also appealed directly to Seyi Tinubu for forgiveness, explaining that she and her brother had no parents or close family to depend on.
